Crew & Pacers

Directions

Rules:

  • Crew, support, family & friends are required to follow all the rules as well.  Please refer to the Requirements page and be sure to read “The Golden Rule” at the bottom of the Requirements page.
  • Pacers are welcome to drop out anywhere on the course except the Gasport Aid Station.  Approximately 1 mile before (or after, depends on your direction) is the Orangeport Bridge which has a parking lot with perfect access to the towpath.
  • Please remember all pacers must have a headlamp or flashlight at night with a blinking L.E.D. on their back (preferably red).  Some of the racers will be fine for the first two loops (as long as you run a sub 11 hr 50 miler), the majority of the people should have them available at the turn around so they can grab them on their second loop.

Crew

Crew members can ONLY stage at the start/finish line and turn around.   No crew or support may stage at the middle aid station (Gasport Bridge).  Failure to comply may result in disqualification of their runner.  Again, please refer to the Requirements page.

Cutoff Times

Cutoff times will be strictly enforced, runners must finish in 30 hours (by 4pm on Sunday) for the 100 miler. The 100 mile participants must leave the Middleport (turn-around) no later than 1pm Sunday.  The 24 hour event goes from 10am to 10am.

Pacers

Pacers will be allowed after a racer completes one loop (25 miles). This applies to both races.
